YourShine

YourShine started with a simple gift. I wanted to build a portfolio website for one of my closest non-technical friends, who works as a photographer. The first version was just a one-page portfolio, built plainly with HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap — no frameworks, no modern libraries, nothing fancy. When I handed it over, I was expecting a normal, polite reaction. But he was genuinely astonished, and even said it looked like something an experienced UI designer had made. That reaction was my first real insight — that good, clean design doesn't always need heavy tools behind it.

Soon after, he mentioned he wanted to update some of the photographs and projects shown on his portfolio. But since he wasn't technical, every small change had to go through me manually, editing the code myself each time. That's when it struck me — what he actually needed was a proper backend and database, so the content could be stored and updated dynamically, along with an admin panel that let him make changes himself, without touching any code.

That idea became YourShine. I built a robust backend connected to a database, along with an admin panel where users can update their portfolio content on their own. I then turned it into a full multi-user platform, where anyone can sign up, log in, and get their own hosted portfolio page at yourshine.com/@username. I also added a built-in contact form, so visitors could directly reach out with their requirements — with hosting, forms, and everything else fully managed by the platform itself.
